  • New York Mets vs. Atlanta Braves = 08/23 - 08/25

    Friday, 23rd August,
    7:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Mike Foltynewicz, RH (4-5, 6.09, 69 Ks) - Atlanta Braves

Jacob deGrom, RH (8-7, 2.61, 194 Ks) - New York Mets

BRAVES: Foltynewicz needed 107 pitches to complete 4 2/3 innings against the Dodgers on Saturday. But he showed patience and had success with both his slider and two-seamer, while limiting L.A.'s powerful lineup to just two runs.

METS: deGrom will look to bump his post-All-Star break record up to 5-0 in a big series opener against the Braves. He has a sterling 1.00 ERA with 56 strikeouts in 45 innings in the second half.

    Saturday, 24th August,
    7:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Max Fried, LH (14-4, 3.84, 134 Ks) - Atlanta Braves

Zack Wheeler, RH (9-7, 4.40, 153 Ks) - New York Mets

BRAVES: Fried managed to complete five innings after nearly getting removed during the first inning of Sunday's start against the Dodgers. The lefty has posted a 2.01 ERA this month despite allowing opponents to hit .271 against him in four starts.

METS: MWheeler will look to get back on track after struggling mightily in his most recent two outings, where he allowed eight earned runs and an opponents’ batting average of .372 in only 10 innings pitched.

    Sunday, 25th August,
    1:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Dallas Keuchel, LH (4-5, 4.14, 60 Ks) - Atlanta Braves

Steven Matz, RH (8-7, 4.18, 116 Ks) - New York Mets

BRAVES: Keuchel has allowed one run over 12 innings (two starts) since enduring a season-worst start on Aug. 8 in Miami. He scattered six hits over five scoreless against the Mets on Aug. 14.

METS: Matz has been on an encouraging run of late, allowing two runs or fewer and lasting six-plus innings in each of his past three starts, two of which led to wins for the Mets.
