    Thursday, 13th June,
    7:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Jack Flaherty, RH (4-3, 4.08, 73 Ks) - St. Louis Cardinals

Jacob deGrom, RH (3-6, 3.45, 94 Ks) - New York Mets

CARDINALS: Flaherty boasted a 3.45 ERA in five May starts, including a six-inning scoreless outing vs. Atlanta to end the month. However, he struggled in his last start Saturday, giving up four runs and failing to notch a strikeout in 3 2/3 innings against the Cubs.

METS: While some chatter lingers about deGrom rediscovering his Cy Young form, he’s been just fine lately, with a 2.72 ERA and more than a strikeout per inning in his last eight starts. deGrom is 4-2 with a 4.21 ERA all time against the Cardinals.

METS: Over his last eight starts, Matz is 4-3 with a 3.50 ERA. Mickey Callaway’s trust in him also appears to be increasing. The manager allowed Matz to match his career high with 120 pitches in his last outing. He owns an 8.49 career ERA vs. St. Louis.

Michael Wacha, RH (4-2, 5.63, 52 Ks) - St. Louis Cardinals

Noah Syndergaard, RH (4-4, 4.45, 88 Ks) - New York Mets

CARDINALS: After coming off a stint in the bullpen, Wacha returned to his rotation spot by recording a scoreless six-inning start vs. the Marlins on Monday. Wacha has a 2.53 ERA and 44 strikeouts over 42 2/3 innings in seven career starts against the Mets.

METS: For as inconsistent as Syndergaard has been this year, he’s mixed a few dominant starts onto his ledger. Last time out, Syndergaard allowed just one hit to the Rockies, striking out seven in seven innings. In his three previous starts, he produced a 6.00 ERA.
