  • New York Mets vs. Toronto Blue Jays = 05/15 - 05/16

    :metscap: :vs: :bluejayscap:

    Tuesday, 15th May
    7:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

    :bsnet: :bsn590:

Jaime Garcia, LH (2-2, 5.40) - Toronto Blue Jays

Noah Syndergaard, RH (2-1, 3.09) - New York Mets

:bluejaysmini: BLUE JAYS: Garcia has not completed six innings since his first start of the season. Command continues to be a concern, as he walked five batters in his last outing vs. Seattle, but that game also marked the first time the lefty did not allow a homer in 2018.

METS: Due to Saturday’s rainout, Syndergaard will return to the mound at Citi Field on eight days' rest. He has not won a game since April 9, despite delivering four consecutive quality starts. Opponents are hitting .287 against him over that stretch.

    Citi Field

    :bsnet: :bsn590:

    J.A. Happ, LH (4-3, 4.80) - Toronto Blue Jays

Zack Wheeler, RH (2-2, 5.83) - New York Mets

:bluejaysmini: BLUE JAYS: Happ is coming off his worst start of the season, having allowed seven runs on 10 hits over 3 1/3 innings in a loss to the Mariners. After a strong start to the season, Happ has allowed 10 runs over his last nine innings.

METS: Alternating good starts with bad ones, Wheeler held the Reds to one run in six innings last time out, five days after the Rockies shelled him for eight runs. He’ll seek some consistency when he makes his first career start against the Blue Jays.

Bases loaded, no one out. They have us right where they want us...

Noah has taken a step back this year. With Mickey and Eiland now in charge, I was expecting far more from him. He does not look confident out there to me.

Big win but Noah seems to not be right. One for me to look forwards to watching tonight.

We noticed that as well. He frequently has the same indecisive look that Pelfrey used to have.

Oh God, please don't use Pelfrey and Syndergaard in the same paragraph!

I just threw up my dinner...
