  • Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets = 08/10 - 08/12

    Friday, 10th August,
    7:10 PM EDT
    Marlins Park

    :

Zack Wheeler, RH (6-6, 3.89) - New York Mets

Jose Urena, RH (3-11, 4.66) - Miami Marlins

METS: Wheeler's four-start win streak is the longest by a Mets pitcher this season and the longest of his career. In his last start, he matched his season high with nine strikeouts, and he hasn't allowed a run in 17 innings.

MARLINS: Urena got roughed up in his last outing Saturday in Philadelphia, surrendering 6 runs on 8 hits (3 HRs). Just one start before that, however, Urena was the best he has been all season, allowing 1 hit over 6 scoreless frames vs. the Nats on July 29.

Corey Oswalt, RH (1-2, 5.13) - New York Mets

Dan Straily, RH (4-5, 4.35) - Miami Marlins

METS: With Steven Matz still on the mend, Oswalt will take his place in the rotation again after a solid last start where he got through four scoreless innings until giving up two homers, one in the fifth and one in the seventh, that spoiled his outing.

MARLINS: Straily looks to build upon his last outing on Sunday in Philadelphia. The right-hander went 5 1/3 innings, giving up two runs and just one hit while walking five and hitting a batter. He struck out seven.

METS: After two DL stints, Syndergaard is healthy and getting back into a groove. Syndergaard has started six games in his career against the Marlins and remains undefeated with a 4-0 record and a 1.62 ERA.

MARLINS: Chen continues to have baffling home/road splits. In his last start on Monday, the lefty threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings in a win over the Cards. At home, his ERA is 1.94. On the road, it's 10.27. Chen has a 3.92 ERA overall in his last seven starts.
