Robert Gsellman, RH (0-0, 7.71, 4 Ks) - New York Mets

    J. A. Happ, LH (1-1, 6.39, 6 Ks) - New York Yankees

METS: The Mets will continue the process of stretching out Gsellman as a starter in Saturday’s matinee. Gsellman threw 33 pitches and then 47 pitches in his first two starts. Taking the mound for the first time in 12 days, he should be good for around 60 this time out.

YANKEES: Happ has pitched just twice in August, and is set to make his first start in 13 days. In his last outing, the veteran held the Red Sox to a solo homer over 5 2/3 innings, picking up the win in a 4-2 victory.

Rick Porcello, RH (1-4, 6.43, 25 Ks) - New York Mets

Michael King, RH (1-1, 6.59, 12 Ks) - New York Yankees

METS: Porcello has lost three straight decisions, though he's actually lowered his ERA in the process. He's been at his best when his changeup is generating ground balls, but that hasn't always been the case.

YANKEES: King is set to make his second big league start on Sunday. His last outing came in relief on Aug. 17, when he picked up his first win with three sharp innings vs. the Red Sox. He started on Aug. 8 at Tampa Bay, allowing three runs over 3 2/3 innings in a 5-3 loss.

Deivi Garcia, RH (_-_, _.__, 0 Ks) - New York Yankees

Seth Lugo, LH (1-2, 2.03, 16 Ks) - New York Mets

YANKEES: García is set to make his Major League debut in Sunday's doubleheader. The Yankees' No. 3 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, García has featured one of the best breaking balls in the Minors, a high-spin curveball with depth. He will be the youngest Yankee to debut since Phil Hughes in 2007.

METS: Although Lugo was dominant in his first start of the season, the Mets limited him to three perfect innings on 39 pitches. He isn't likely to stretch out to much more than four innings and 65 pitches in this one.
