  • New York Mets vs. Miami Marlins = 08/07 - 08/09

    Friday, 7rd August,
    7:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Humberto Mejía, RH (_-_, _.__, 0 Ks) - Miami Marlins

Michael Wacha, RH (1-1, 6.00, 0 Ks) - New York Mets

    MARLINS:

METS: Wacha's second outing wasn't nearly as good as his first one, as he struggled to find the feel for his signature changeup. That pitch will be key when he returns to the mound against the Marlins.

    Saturday, 8th August,
    7:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Daniel Castano, LH (_-_, _.__, 0 Ks) - Miami Marlins

David Peterson, LH (1-1, 3.86, 11 Ks) - New York Mets

MARLINS: Castano will make his MLB debut tonight after having his contract selected on Tuesday. The left-hander, who was acquired in the Marcell Ozuna trade in 2017, went 7-4 with a 3.48 ERA at Class A Advanced Jupiter and Double-A Jacksonville last season.

METS: With solid showings in each of his first two starts, Peterson is making a case to remain in the Mets' rotation even after Marcus Stroman returns from the injured list. For now, he'll start Saturday vs. the Marlins.

    Sunday, 9th August,
    1:10 PM EDT
    Citi Field

Pablo López, RH (1-0, 0.00, 7 Ks) - Miami Marlins

Jacob deGrom, RH (1-0, 2.121, 22 Ks) - New York Mets

MARLINS: López matched his career high with seven strikeouts in his first start at Baltimore. He relies on a 93-95 mph fastball and a changeup. The organization says he's just scratching the surface of his talents.

METS: All deGrom did last year against the Marlins was go 5-1 with a 2.37 ERA and 46 strikeouts in six starts. He'll look to win his second straight game in Sunday's finale of the three-game series.
